Beauty For Ashes - A Movement to Abolish Slavery

“Beauty for Ashes” is a dance production that depicts the dark and horrific reality of human trafficking and its consequences that have now reached epidemic proportions in this nation as well as globally. Men, women, adults and children are abused and trapped into forced labor or sexual exploitation. They are held captive through the use of force, threats, fraud or coercion. This production also portrays how God can intervene in any situation and bring deliverance, healing and restoration, especially in response to the prayers and intercession of His people.

Team Up presents Gigs4Good with Victor Shade, DJ B-Mello & Friends

7:00pm-11:30pm

The Hard Rock Cafe Seattle

116 Pike Street

Seattle, WA

Come “team up” with Victor Shade, DJ B-Mello, Seattle Against Slavery and Team Up for Nonprofits at our first ever Gigs4Good concert, Thursday May 27 at the Hard Rock Cafe Seattle. Also performing are Project Lionheart, SOL and soul singer Dice with special guest host Tilson from The Saturday Knights.

Victor Shade, the new alias from RA Scion of Common Market, and quickly rising producer MTK, blasted onto the music scene with their much talked about album release on April 4. Their music explores the struggle to live and grow into our most frightening and powerful potential, a theme that seems to match well with the mission of the nonprofit Seattle Against Slavery.

Seattle Against Slavery (SAS) was chosen because of their tireless efforts to eradicate human trafficking and build a community of advocates. Proceeds from the night will go towards Seattle Against Slavery's (SAS) Seattle Cares Project which will help SAS service provider organization partners better care for trafficked survivors in their transitional housing needs.

To secure your spot and show your support buy a pre-sale ticket ($20) online here or at the Hard Rock Cafe Seattle box office soon! ($25 at the door.)

Advocate for Anti-Trafficking Programs in the City of Seattle
With so many
budget cuts these days, it is critical that advocates of

anti-trafficking programs in Seattle make our voices heard. The City

of Seattle wants to hear from us which is why they have organized two

budget-related public hearings. Join SAS in appearing at the meetings

to clearly voice our desire for the prioritization of funding for anti-

trafficking programs in our community.

This is an opportunity to speak directly to Mayor McGinn and Seattle
City Councilmembers. It is not necessary for you to speak publicly,
but your presence alone will speak volumes in communicating our desire

to fight
human trafficking. The risk of anti-trafficking programs
losing city funding is very real and we ask that you join SAS in our

efforts to ensure that does not happen. We need YOU to engage with us!
